About the Department

Job Overview
A research assistant position is immediately available in the laboratory of Dr. Bingfang Yan at the University of Cincinnati (UC) James L Winkle College of Pharmacy to study drug metabolism, drug safety, drug delivery, nanotechnology, nuclear receptor biology and transcriptional regulation. This laboratory has interest in therapeutic interventions for cancer, diabetes, and infectious diseases. The research assistant will be a member of a research group and expected to support multiple research projects, collaboration with team members and management of research facilities. This individual will have an opportunity to learn cutting-edge technologies and enjoy the multicultural life in the Cincinnati metropolitan area. The UC Academic Health Center and the affiliated Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center provide an outstanding biomedical research community.
Essential Functions
- Perform experiments and records data according to research protocols.
- Interpret data and assist in judging validity of data. May perform statistical and graphical analysis of data.
- May assist in animal colony management and animal husbandry.
- Apply research principals for less complex assignments.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor of science degree in Biology, Chemistry, Engineering or Pharmaceutical Science.
Required Experience
Additional related work experience may be required depending on field or discipline.
Additional Qualifications Considered
Prior laboratory experience.
