Assistant Professor of Materials Science and Engineering (Materials for Energy)
The Department of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) and The Wilson E. Scott Institute for Energy Innovation (SIEI) at Carnegie Mellon University are seeking applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor, although particularly compelling candidates will be considered at higher ranks. We welcome candidates who focus on materials for energy in a decarbonized future that complement existing strengths within MSE and SIEI. Areas of potential interest include, but are not limited to, the design, synthesis, processing, characterization, and additive manufacturing of materials and/or devices for electrochemical energy storage and conversion, and for renewable fuel production.
